Nathan Pachal

Candidate for Mayor | Incumbent

Nathan has been an active part of Langley City’s civic life for over two decades, including serving on Langley City’s original Parks, Environment, Recreation & Culture Committee from 2008 to 2016.

He advocated for bringing back Interurban passenger rail, co-founded the Langley chapter of HUB Cycling, and co-founded South Fraser OnTrax, which hosted workshops and events, connecting world-renowned leaders to our community to help create a healthy, happy, and sustainable Langley.

He also authored a report, “Decade of Exclusions? A Snapshot of the Agricultural Land Reserve from 2000-2009 in the South of Fraser,” and “Leap Ahead: A transit plan for Metro Vancouver,” which called for building transit projects that are now being implemented.

Nathan was first elected to Langley City Council in 2016 and was elected mayor in 2022.

Paul has lived in Langley City with his wife and four children for the past 36 years.

He has played and coached team sports all his life and was awarded Langley Minor Hockey Coach of the Year in 2007. He is a three-term Langley City Councillor, and in 2025 was awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal in recognition of service to country and community.

He was the President of the Lower Mainland Local Government Association, which represents 29 local governments, three regional districts, and an electoral area.

Paul believes working for and in the best interests of Langley City and our residents is the single most important goal as an elected official.

Mike Solyom

Candidate for Council | Incumbent

Mike lives in the Uplands neighbourhood of Langley City with his wife Julia and their two children, Jake and Alexis.

He teaches Economics and Business Statistics at Douglas College and brings a practical, data-driven approach to decision-making at City Hall.

First elected in 2022, Mike is seeking re-election to continue advancing housing affordability and expanding thoughtful mixed-use development.

He is focused on building a community where families can thrive—now and in the future.

Outside of work, Mike enjoys travelling, exploring parks with his kids, and recently, coding custom arcade games together as a family.

Rosemary Wallace

Candidate for Council | Incumbent


Rosemary moved to Langley City 30 years ago and became very involved in volunteering at schools, community organizations, and non-profits.

She volunteered as a soccer coach, art facilitator, muralist and was very involved in planning community events.

Rosemary was the president of the Langley Arts Council. She went on to open her own gallery in the City where artists, musicians and the community were welcomed.

Rosemary's success has been bringing people together by affording them opportunities through arts and culture, environmental stewardship, social programming and participating in celebrations and community events.

Rosemary is currently living in the Douglas Community Neighbourhood and can often be seen spending time with her grandchildren.

She was elected to the City Council in 2008, served as a Langley School Trustee and is currently on City Council.
